Take the Swamp Wells Trail for a big day out and back from Horse Butte all the way to Paulina Lake and back. This big cross-country singletrack trail will give you an epic day with sweeping views. In the late summer, the trail tends to get very little use and becomes sandy, but the ride is worth it to take a cool dip in Paulina Lake.
