Crater Rim

The aptly named Crater Rim trail encircles Paulina and East Lake, offering riders a plethora of experiences, from steep climbs and descents, to beautiful views, dense tree cover, and even obsidian flows. Starting from the lakefront parking lot near Paulina Lake Lodge, taking this trail in either direction will require climbing over 1,000 ft to get to the trail rim.

Don't forget to hop down to East Lake and check out the natural hot springs!
